Proximity or distance from the world:
where does life play out?
Whether the horizon is near or it flees,
the painter is looking for something beyond.
What is seen is imposed.
A painting suggests looking at the world,
not as an image, but as an enigma,
a reflection, a question.
Marcel Proust said:
“The real voyage of discovery does not consist
in looking for new landscapes
but to have new eyes."
